Botox® & Other Wrinkle Relaxers

Neuromodulators minimize dynamic wrinkles and furrows – those wrinkles that are caused not by aging or sun exposure, but by years of repetitive facial movement, such as laughing, smiling or frowning.

Botulinum Toxin is a protein complex produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. As an injectable form of sterile, purified botulinum toxin, small doses block the release of a chemical called acetylcholine by nerve cells that signal muscle contraction. By selectively interfering with the underlying muscles' ability to contract, muscles relax, and existing lines/wrinkles are smoothed out, giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

Dermal Fillers

Wrinkles that are present without facial expression can be treated with one of our dermal filler products.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that is produced naturally and exists in the human body. Dermal fillers, such as Juvederm® or Restylane® are a transparent HA gel that is injected into facial tissue, restoring volume and fullness to facial tissue, smoothing wrinkles, and folds. HA is hydrophilic or "water loving," and maintains its shape using the body's own moisture. As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water and over time, the same volume can be maintained with less hyaluronic acid. This ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide lasting results. The effect lasts for about 6 months.
